A very warm welcome to britishcats.co.uk. We hope that you find our British Cat site of some interest and we hope to add new articles on the British Shorthair on a regular basis!

Some of you may have noticed that we have been missing during some parts of January. This was caused initially by server failure, which meant we moved to a new server. The old one going to the great computer scrap heap. Yes it was really that bad. The most recent issue was our hosting service has gone, we assume that they have ceased trading by the abrupt cessation of service. We have now moved to a new server and a new hosting company. It is obviously taking some time to get everything back to normal.

About Us

We are a group of breeders who have joined together to help promote the British Shorthair cat. We hope to show that there are more than three colours in the British and that they can make very loving pets. All the breeders believe in the ethics of the Governing Council for the Cat Fancy, but some of us have extended these to include what we believe makes a good pet home for our babies. We have been going since 2002 before most other sites appeared

We hope to bring you news and information that is important to both pet owners and breeders. If you are think about taking up this hobby, we will be doing articles that will help, and hopefully inform you what you are about to let yourself in for. The ups and the downs!!! We also have a Vet writing for our site so that we can be of assistance on both the new information and to offer assistance on the common practice of Vet medicine.

It is free to advertise on this site, and those breeders that have placed an advert for their litters have not be vetted by the editorial team. You should make sure that you are satisfied that any kitten is healthy and well adjusted before you purchase.
